Our Principles
Preserve Civil Rights and Choices
We believe in protecting Civil Rights and Personal Choices. Choices in healthcare, religion, the temperature of our home, what foods to eat and the right of parents to choose the best education for their children. We believe in protecting the vulnerable from birth to natural death. Republicans are the party of Choices, and we stand ready to protect yours. At the same time, Republicans believe that government must treat all of its citizens equally under the law.
Make Government Efficient and Effective
We believe that the goal should not be to make Government BIG nor SMALL. The goal should be to make Government both Efficient and Effective.
Educate Our Children
We support the belief that parents are responsible for their children's education and that parents, teachers and local school boards can make the best decisions about our children's education.
Strengthen Our Families and Communities
We recognize the blessings that God has bestowed on this great Nation. We also recognize the sanctity of human life and the central role of the traditional family in our society. We work to defend those values in order to strengthen our families and communities.
Protect Public Safety
We believe that the most fundamental function of government is to keep citizens and our property secure.
Strengthen the Rule of Law
We support limiting the power of attorneys and frivolous lawsuits, increasing the responsibility of the jury, protecting judicial elections and holding judges accountable to strengthen the rule of law and prevent abuse of our legal system.
Enjoy and Protect Our Natural Resources
We believe that proper stewardship of our natural resources and agricultural lands is best achieved through sound science and adherence to constitutionally guaranteed property rights.
Defend America at Home and Abroad
We believe that we can maintain peace by having a strong national defense, securing our borders and by encouraging all people to seek freedom, democracy and free enterprise.

The Third Congressional District includes all or a portion of the communities of Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Corcoran, Dayton, Deephaven, Excelsior, Eden Prairie, Edina, Greenfield, Greenwood, Hassan, Hopkins, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple Grove, Maple Plain, Medina, Medicine Lake, Minnetonka, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Orono, Osseo, Plymouth, Rogers, Shorewood, Spring Park, St. Bonifacius, Tonka Bay, Wayzata, and Woodland.
CD3 Republicans Governance
As an organization, the CD3 Republicans work to:
1. Further the principles of the Republican Party within the Third Congressional District.
2. Manage the affairs of the Party within the District.
3. Expand membership and participation within the Party.
4. Elect Republicans to federal, state and local office.
